Which fields fall within the dMAT requirement?
- Engineering: B.E. / B.Tech and equivalent degrees where the official branch is an Engineering field, e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Commerce / Accounting / Finance / Economics: B.Com, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Taxation, Financial Markets, and Economics (including B.A. and B.Sc. Economics).
- Business / Management: BBA, BBM, BMS, Business Administration, Management Studies, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and related fields.
Fields not automatically included
Standalone Technology degrees, BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. IT, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, B.Sc. Biotechnology, Architecture, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Law, and health-science degrees are not automatically covered unless APS India classifies the official title within an affected group.
Fields needing separate assessment
Sector-specific management fields such as Hotel, Hospitality, Tourism, Aviation, Healthcare and Construction Management are not classified by the word Management alone and require separate assessment by APS India.
This checker only determines whether the dMAT requirement may apply. It does not confirm formal recognition of a degree, institution or qualification for higher-education access in Germany. APS India makes the final classification on the official degree title, duration and field.
